Hello! I’m Alessandro Caroli, currently thriving as a Senior Consultant at BCG Platinion in London. Born and raised in Padua, Italy, I ventured to Milan to earn a master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, graduating with top honours in December 2019. My journey in consulting began as a Business Analyst intern at Arthur D. Little, followed by various roles at BCG Platinion, where I’ve been since July 2020.

My career has been enriched by international project experiences in dynamic cities like Dubai and London. In July 2023, I transitioned permanently to the London office. My professional focus spans multiple sectors, including financial services, retail, and technology, and I’ve led significant initiatives such as tech due diligence for EdTech acquisitions, cloud strategy for large financial player and IT strategy for major utilities.

Curiosity has always been the catalyst for my educational and career decisions—it drove me to explore interdisciplinary studies and to tackle a master thesis in an unfamiliar domain, developing an ECG acquisition device prototype for paramedics. This innate curiosity also fuels my growing interest in product management and the start-up ecosystem, inspired further by a recent executive education in product strategy from Kellogg.

Looking ahead, I aim to continue broadening my expertise, especially in product development within the tech industry.

Off duty, I run the BCG Bouldering group, organising monthly gatherings. I also indulge in photography, a passion that allows me to capture the unique perspectives and experiences encountered both at home and during my travels.
